Approximately 100 children live there all year round.
The children are placed in several small buildings that reproduce family life, under the supervision of child-minders.
Since HIV-positive children are not accepted in nearby schools, La Bonne Etoile has offered them a place for learning and has built schools for their future independent lives.
– 2017, Construction of a school yard, funding of 54 school tables and creation of awnings above the windows of the 2nd school
– Appointment of an English teacher in 2016 for 2h30 lessons, three times a week for 20 children.
-Funding for 2017: purchase of drugs for opportunistic infections due to HIV
-Second school built in 2015 containing a computer lab, a large multi-purpose room and toilet facilities
-Since 2014, La Bonne Etoile pays additional wages to nurses
-First school built in 2014 in the heart of the orphanage by Feal-Asia Constructions; containing 3 classrooms, a library and toilet facilities.
